Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA Methods

Your organization may allow one or more:

Method

Description

Authenticator app

Time-based 6-digit codes

SMS

Code sent to phone

Email

Code sent to inbox

💡 Authenticator apps are the most secure and recommended option.


Set Up an Authenticator App

  1. Go to Profile → Account → MFA Settings

  2. Click Set up authenticator app

  3. Scan the QR code using:

    • Google Authenticator

    • Authy

    • Microsoft Authenticator

  4. Enter the 6-digit code

  5. Save your backup codes

⚠ Store backup codes securely — they are required if you lose access.


Set Up SMS

  1. Add your phone number in Profile → Account

  2. Enable SMS in MFA Settings

  3. Enter the verification code


Log In with MFA

  1. Enter email and password

  2. Enter verification code

  3. Click Verify

💡 Codes expire quickly — enter them immediately.


Troubleshooting

Invalid code

  • Ensure device time is synced

  • Use the most recent code

  • Wait for the next code if expired


Lost access to authenticator

  • Use backup codes

  • Or contact your administrator


Phone number changed

  • Log in using another method

  • Update phone number in profile


MFA prompt not appearing

  • MFA may not be enabled

  • Enable it in profile settings


Disable MFA

If allowed:

  • Go to MFA Settings

  • Click Disable

  • Confirm with a code
